MetroReload - NYC MetroCard Reload Calculator
MetroReload is a free Android app developed by Roxbury Group LLC in the Travel & Navigation category. It calculates the amount of money to load onto a NYC MTA MetroCard to achieve a zero balance on its last swipe, taking into account Ticket Vending Machine reload restrictions. The app is simple to use, requiring only the current balance on the card and the fare type to display a list of "Reload" amounts to achieve the desired number of rides. Highlighted items have "Reload" amounts that the Ticket Vending Machine will accept, while other amounts listed will need to be rounded up to the nearest 5 cents for the TVM to accept the transaction. If this is done, a small amount will be left on the card on the last swipe (less than 5 cents), otherwise the odd amounts can be added by an MTA Booth clerk. However, the app no longer takes the bonus program into account since April 21, 2019.
